The mod runs a DLL plugin through BepInEx. There is no separate installer.
This unofficial mod improves the existing Russian localization of Medieval Horse Dealer Simulator. All 6,344 strings have been reviewed; 5,286 have changed. The download card shows the release version, supported Steam build, archive size and checksum.
Coverage
Interface, tutorial, quests, dialogue, events, horses and traits, breeding, training, trade, buildings, equipment and mercenaries. Terminology is consistent across the translation. Separate window headings and level, experience and time labels are also revised. Voice-over is unchanged.
Installation
- Close the game and download the ZIP.
- In Steam, right-click the game → Manage → Browse local files.
- Extract the archive into that folder, beside
Medieval Horse Dealer Simulator.exe. - Launch the game and select «Русский» in the language settings.
The archive includes a DLL translation plugin, BepInEx 5.4.23.5 x64, instructions and dependency licenses. There is no separate installer. If BepInEx is already installed, add only BepInEx\plugins\HorseRussian and keep your existing loader.
Compatibility and removal
Tested on the Windows Steam version, AppID 3503710, build 25627094. Original game archives are preserved, and the mod does not edit saves. New or changed strings after a game update retain the built-in translation until the mod is updated. Future loader and interface compatibility is not guaranteed.
To remove the translation, close the game and delete BepInEx\plugins\HorseRussian. If there are no other mods and BepInEx was installed solely for this one, you can also remove BepInEx, winhttp.dll and doorstop_config.ini.
The mod adds a SteamGate link button to the main and pause menus. It opens the website only when clicked and preserves the developer's buttons. Downloads and updates are also available on GitHub.
